THE ART
Balance,
Somewhere between the concept of equilibrium and the attributes of raw steel lie new ideas. These works are the translation of those ideas. The sculptures manifest primarily as mobiles and stabiles striking their balance both literally and figuratively. It is the combination of these harmonic characteristics along with the elements of the steel that lead to the pursuit of the next creation.

THE ARTIST
ADAM W CARTER

Adam W Carter is a metal artist and sculptor from Phoenix Arizona. He was introduced to the state of molten metal at the early age of five which began a lifelong relationship with the medium. Believing that the physical attributes of metal best expressed his artistic vision Adam's fascination was quickly complimented by formal education. His studies would culminate in a studio art degree from Northern Arizona University.
Adam's pursuit of metal work and design over the next few years would shift his focus from form to function and back to form again. He finally arrived at a sophisticated balance between the two forces that redefined his personal form of artistic self-expression.
Since 2000 Adam has participated in group and solo exhibitions and has also completed various private commissions. In 2014 Adam's work was featured at the FQ Story Historical Home Tour. Most recently Adam has been featured in the 2015 Spring edition of Su Casa Magazine.
